If you need to install or reinstall or just maintain your Windows XP, here are some basic software, drivers and updates pack that I usually install. I installed several hundred PC’s in my lifetime and most of my customers are satisfied. You pick what to install from this compilation (note that you can’t install 2 antivirus programs on your system, i.e. Avast and MS Essential)
Cracks: (I included this, but it’s quite easy to find it over net)
* WGA & OGA Crack 2010-02-22- If your WinXP report not genuine problem, this it tool to fix it. Also you can run auto update with this

* Google Chrome v10.0.648.204 – Google web browser, good but still need some improvement
* Google Earth v6.0.2.2074 – Virtual globe, map and geographic information program
* Google Talk v1.0.0.104 – Google chat client
* LimeWire Pirate Edition v5.6.2 – Famous Gnutella file sharing network client, hacked version since original not working any more
* Micro Torrent v2.2.1.25154 – Fantastic torrent client
* Mozilla Firefox v4.0.eng – Still the best web browser (IMHO)
* Mozilla Thunderbird v3.1.9.eng – Free mail client by Mozilla
* NetBalancer Free v3.1.1 – Great tool for traffic shaping, you can set your games for network priority and lower ping while playing
* NetMeter v1.1.41.beta.x86 – Little tool to monitor your Internet speed 32 bit version
* Opera v11.10 – Great alternative web browser
* Orbit Downloader v4.0.0.10 – Download manager, free and full of options
* Pidgin v2.7.11 – Multiprotocol chat program (MSN, ICQ, Jabber, etc)
* Skype v5.3.32.108 – Famous IM, VoIP and Video Chat program
* SpeedyFox v1.6 – Tool for compacting Firefox database. Speed up FF quite a bit
* Windows Firewall Control v2.8.x86 – Addon for managing Windows Firewall 32 bit version
* Windows Live v14.0.8089.726.eng – Windows Live Messenger and Mail are only one good from this pack
* Yahoo! Messenger v11.0.0.1751.Beta – Yahoo IM software
Microsoft Office 2003:
* Decided to exclude it. It’s pretty easy to find and it’s about 500 MB with SP

* BSPlayer v2.28.963 – If you use subtitles with your videos, perfect player for you

* DVDFab HD Decrypter v8.085 – Use this to copy DVD from your optical drive to hard disk, it removes copy protection
* EssentialPIM Free v4.02 – Calendar, notes, to do list and address book
* Exstora v2.8 – If you need just to do list and notes, this it for you
* GOM Player v2.1.28.5039 – Even that I prefer VLC player, Gom is second best choice
* Handbrake v0.9.5 – Software for DVD ripping
* IrfanView Plugging v4.28 – additional file formats for IrfanView picture viewer

* Nero Burning ROM v8.3.20.0.lite.europe – CD/DVD burning program

* PhotoFiltre v6.4.0 – Why use Adobe Photoshop when this do the same but faster and it’s free

* Aero Enabler v1.0.0.1 – If your Win 7 do not start Aero this it tool to re/enable it
* Disable Windows Update Auto Restart v3.3.6.1 – I hate when Win do autorestart after update, if you do as well, use this
* K-Lite Codec Pack Basic v7.1.0 – Basic codecs for you system if you do not wish to use VLC or Gom player

* CCleaner Slim v3.05.1409 – Great tool for removing crap (temp files, browsing residues, etc) from your system
* CrystalDiskInfo v3.10.0 – App for checking health of your hard drive
* DAEMON Tools Lite v4.40.2.0131 – Best virtual CD/DVD software. Must have if you play games
* Defraggler Slim v2.00.230 – HDD defragmenting tool
* EASEUS Partition Master Home v8.0.1 – Great software for partition manipulation
* Emsisoft Anti-Malware v5.1.0.10 – Best antimalware tool, one of two (IMHO), pick free license while installing
* HWMonitor v1.1.7.x64 – tool for reading temperature and voltage sensors of your computer 32 bit version
* Malwarebytes Anti-Malware v1.50.1 – Best antimalware tool, one of two (IMHO)
* Microsoft Security Essentials v2.0.657.0.Win7.x86.eng – MS version of antivirus 32 bit
* Passmark BurnInTest Standard v6.0.1029.x86 – Stress test for your PC, will see is there any problematic hardware 64 bit
* PowerISO v4.7 – serial – serial for PowerISO
* PowerISO v4.7 – Tool for ISO files manipulation
* Recuva Slim v1.40.525 – Program for rescuing deleted and formatted files
* Revo Uninstaller v1.90 – Software uninstaller, will remove residues that WinXP uninstaller will miss

* TweakUI v2.10 – additional setting for your WinXP, not for novice users
* Unlocker v1.9.0 – Ever trying to delete file or folder and it’s locked? Here is the cure
* WinRAR – Reg – Install this before WinRAR and it will be registered
* WinRAR v4.0.0.x86.eng – Best file arc hiver (IMHO), cracked 32 bit
