Autodesk has announced the Softimage Mod Tool 7.5. Created with Microsoft and Valve Software Mod Tool – a free package for 3D modeling and animation, for noncommercial use, which is incorporated directly into Microsoft XNA Game Studio Express and Valve Half-Life 2.

Softimage Mod Tool 7.5 is based on a professional product Autodesk Softimage 7.5 and can be used by game developers to create: 3D characters, levels, tasks, properties and animation. Mod Tool is working closely with XNA through the Add-on and allows you to export.
Softimage Mod Tool 7.5 comes with a training package from Noesis Interactive, which obesnyaetsya create 3D characters and eksprt it in XNA.

The new version of Autodesk Softimage Mod Tool 7.5:
– New teaching materials: These materials help you learn how to create characters and export them for use in Microsoft XNA Games Studio 3.0.
– Added support for real-time shading API (application programming interface), version 3.0, which will help make real-time shader development of more flexible and simple.
– Interactive Creative Environment (ICE), through which artists can now rapidly create complex 3D effects and instruments without writing code.
– Added support for Windows Vista,
